The Shoulaks
The Von Trapp-style family founded Shoulak BreastFest Music Festivals in 2011 after Judy Shoulak was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2019, they received their 501(c)3 status and continue to share their event donations with their six Charitable Partners.
The mission of BreastFest has always been to bring people together to celebrate what they’ve collectively been through, remember the lives of those we lost to cancer, and drive forward towards a cure – while dancing.”
– Judy Shoulak, Breast Cancer Survivor
The Festival
Since music is always essential for any situation (the good, the bad, and the ugly), this event was born. The first musical line-ups included mostly the Shoulaks themselves, performing original tunes, growing into what it is today.
Live Music
Bands from Minnesota and beyond gather to rock out for a great cause and shake the roof on the Shoulak’s recently restored 100-year old barn. Even transitioning the event online for a few years didn’t stop us from singing!
Silent Auction
Festival guests can bid on unique items from their phones even when they can’t make it to the festival. Prizes can include sports memorabilia, home goods, accessories, electronics, and more.
Unique Attractions
Take this opportunity to explore the Shoulaks’ farm grounds visiting with animals, wandering through the eclectic Marketplace, or watching a mesmerizing trapeze performances – this year’s festival will be a great reunion for many who love the in-person festival!
